Post by: TheBug on August 15, 2004, 09:29:02 PM: Made some progress on the "Unofficial" Combat theater website.

Still need to work out the background stuff and probably need to optimize for greater speed.

I'm learning as I go along so hopefully quality will improve with time.

I've pretty much nailed down the "theme" I'm gonna use, open for criticism though. I have a couple other pages down, but since I don't have the links enabled on the home page yet and I need to do some speed tweaks, I didn't bother uploading them.

I don't like to have to ever "enter" a site; its a waste of time. I want to go right to a site and be able to see all options up front without having to search or hunt for them. Just my opinion.

Merge the two pages.

I can see what eskimo is talking about but I have a simul;ar page on VMF-312's web site http://www.geocities.com/vmf_312/. You still have to enter our site but there is an introduction to what we are...I think.

Imput anyone?

Here is the squadron page optimized, but done quickly, is it better loading? I lost a lot of quality in the menu, but figure later on I can pick and choose where I optimize and go about it differently.

I kinda like the splash page, so I'd like to keep it. But I think you are right I need to add some defining text to make it worth keeping. Hmm, I will have to think about that one.

Index page is the first page on your site whether it be splash or just the front page... don't know why... but I am sure someone can explain....

I am trying to do some video stuff for our web site. I just started it tonight and have learned only a little. Take a look at the first video. The second one did not come out right. I only have a trial issue so I dont know how to delete unwanted videos. I cant figure out how to title it either.
