Title: FM Question : Spins?

 If this has already been covered I'm sorry I missed it.

 I was just wondering if spins have been modeled?  I noticed the other day that I have yet to spin, in any plane. I can stall just fine. It will even drop off on the left wing, but I can not enter a spin of any kind.

 I tried for 15 min the other night in a 109f to spin to no avail.  I would go vertical, chop throttle, then go full throttle and yank that stick all the way back and left (and right too).  I could not spin. It feals like it wants to spin, but as soon as I push the stick up I recover from the stall.

Spins sure are in the game.  Don't see them too often but boy have I gotten myself into a couple nasty ones that ended with me leaving a sizable dent in the ground, hehe still haven't quite figured how to get out of them yet.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I spin the F4U all the time to lose altitude prior to entering the pattern.  Stick full back, cross control aileron and rudder, instant spin.

Try it in the 51 Udie, you can do it inverted also  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

After the nose drops in a steep climb, hit full controls (left or right with up vator). It will also go alittle more flat, when after the spin is established you give it some opposite ail.

Inverted, cross the ail and rudder with down elev.

Heavy FW-190's and F4U's tend to spin the easiest when reefed nose high into a low speed turn.  Just keep holding the stick full back  :-)

agree with camel Udie, you can spin and the plane reacts how I feel they should (having done spins (inadvertenly) in 150s) Opposite rudder, power back ease out.

I even encountered the dreaded inverted flat in a 51.  UUUUUGLY

Got out, but I dont remember how, I just know that the ground was close < 1K  when I came out, and I started at 20k

Follow me around some time you will see me spin.  I've been playing for about a week now and I get into spins usually 2 or 3 times in a 4hr playing period.

I can get the F4 in a spin evertime I try and many times when I don't try! =)
