I can simulate the noname bug by logging in and trying to move right away to another field.. it then seems I'm nonamed for a long long time.
Wind speed, I still don't hear any even though I cranked the sound? As tone was mentioning some wind or something is definitely needed to get an idea of how fast you're going. when you're high up

I reloaded the entire game, not just the update, and I hear wind getting pretty loud at about 275 mph. I prefer WB's engine pitch change with speed increases to this wind noise.

The one i miss from WB is the overspeed sound. I keep ripping my wings off. Im sure they will get to it

Ra, the problem is that the engine pitch doesn't change on a real plane with a variable-pitch prop.
I agree the WB sound is very helpful though.
I'd sure like to see the wind sound beefed up to give us the same effect.

I have had the same problem with the "noname" and can reproduce it by changing fields as soon as you enter the sim..also if you see the "noname" then none of the dot commands work

Funked, Although your RPM stays stable, you should hear the change in load on the engine. Try that in a car at 2000 rpm going level, uphill, and downhill. And at that point you change manifold pressures, as well.

I installed a new host around noon today that should fix the noname bug.
