Title: If you had one major Gripe about AH..what would it be?

Seriously: Hitting a plane, plane controlled crashes, in my territory, then ditches. This should be an awarded kill!

I've been hit, engine stops and I land in enemy territory and I go back to tower with a ditch. This should of been a kill awarded to the enemy pilot who knocked out my engine.

Agree with Rip. Should be co-deaths. I blew a wing off of a B26 plus he shot me. I crashed first and enemy pilot was awarded kill even though he was going down also.

Other than that I would have to put the enormous neon billboard icons above all others. They are ugly, they screw up my vision when I am fighting multiple planes, and they hurt game play by removing the element of surprise completely.

Exactly why I posted such a question, if we have one common thing that drives us nuts, now it's prioritzed for HTC.

The longer that HTC don't have a $1/hr price plan, the longer I don't spend $10-20 a month with them.

f)Flaps currently only increase drag at the moment, not lift (or so I believe)

Cannon, 2 20mm cannon are PLENTY of firepower for a HO or any other attack.(and the MG's are .30 caliber, not .50) Just be happy there is no Spit XIV (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I'd only be flying in the weekend as I need to fly in my afternoons to coincide with big enough arena numbers during the US evening.

So even if I was to manage to log 15 hours in a month, that's $2/hr, and I can do that with Warbirds which also has the added bonus of flying at a time when Mrs Glars is watching TV or asleep (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

But if AH offered $1/hr then I could hop in the arena for an hour and HTC would receive a dollar.

I know AH has picked up Warbirds pilots who were logging long hours because naturally $29.95 is a good deal to them when they're flying several hours a night but I just wonder if HTC is ignoring the people at the other end of the scale - those who can't fly as often and so don't signup because $29.95 is too much for the hours they'd spend in the arena.

Hope that makes more sense.

Bombing and capturing bases and at least trying to give the illusion of war instead of the fore mentioned should be built upon and expanded in every way possible, hasn't been to many wars without someone getting some turf outa the deal.

Us real life pilots want those thousands of dollars spent on training to benefit us in here, LOL.

P.S. Those billboard icons so many are complaining about can be turned off simply by alt-I and just one more thing, Perspective! The size of a field should not be the same from 10K as it is from 2K however I'll give that one up if addressing it would decrease game speed etc.

Ummm, no. Not an option in the main arena. It would work in a Historical arena but whithout historical matchups, it would be impossible to id friendly from enemy.

Other than that when I was in the beta it was the laser guided acks & large icons that I disliked, seems it hasnt been fixed either.

2 - Absence of heavy acks near radar, HQ and city.
3 - Absence of metric system.
4 - Graphic detail level is no scalable.
5 - P38 with 4 trillion polygons.
6 - Laser guided bombs from bombers and lucky-guided bombs from fighters.
7 - Absence of accurate gunsights for each aircraft.
8 - Absence of prop drag.
10 - Icons showing up with plane type at D9 seems a bit exagerated to me.
11 - Hyper water melon sized bullets from buffs. I see those bullets passing well above my plane and still hear the pings.
12 - Was Hispano Mk II really a secret prototype of laser gun?

Guys who after you saddle up on a con, and are blasting him into the next zip code, come zooming in front of you and you end up killing yourself via kill shooter. Should be a button that you could press that would instantly give them a shock through thier joystick.

Post by: Funky on March 21, 2000, 12:23:00 PM: My primary gripe has always been the GPS-Guided bombs, I don't know if that will change for gameplay reasons so I guess my secondary gripe would be the huge neon signs over everyone's heads. About 50% of that size would be perfectly fine.
