Spit V vs 109F-4
P-47D-11 vs 190A-5

Honorable mention would be

Hrm... I dunno... From what I remember, isn't the spitV over-modeled? Isn't it more than a match to the 109F4?


Just out of a sense of pure fun, hrm... I once had fun in realistic settings (fuel=1.0, ammo=1.0) in P51D vs F4U4. I was in the P51. We had a jolly good time.


F4u1x vs ki61 is also fun, personally. Although I had better luck in the F4U than the ki61

I had a real fun sortie once in a Yak9UT (37mm gun) against a sortie of ju88s and a 109G (not sure which mark, maybe a -6 or -10) with realistic fuel and ammo.

It was a blast. Got a demo of the sortie. Messed up parts of it here and there in the film viewer (was trying to make a movie of it) but for the most part it's a cool fight vs. that 109.


So I'd add 109G vs Yak9UT to the list

My favourite is the mid to late war European set ups.

Fin-Rus follows a close set up.  

Cannot stand the Pac-War scenarios.

1st choice would be BoB 1941.
2nd through 10th is anything that doesn't have VVS fighters.

But I also sorta liked that 'relaxed' plane set we had recently...all the 109s, most of the 190s versus all the 47/51s and even the 38 and 40 thrown in for fun. I have no idea what that was called but it was pretty interesting as a change of pace, not for a full-time relaxed setting though.
