Title: Part 1 of "Then and Now"
Post by: Ripsnort on August 19, 2004, 08:38:01 AM
This will be on ongoing series up to election day (and possibly past)

Now:
Yesterday at the VFW speech Kerry castigates Bush for suggesting withdrawing troops from Korea.

Then:
3 weeks ago on ABC's This Week he said that if he were president he would bring home massive amounts of troops, including "possibly Korea"

:lol

ITs not even funny anymore, even the devote Dems of the office here admit the Flip Flop is discouraging... They allude to voting independant now....

At least one party seems capable of doing it, now time for the other one to get with the program :)

It is very amusing that the dems rallying cry is now "get rid of bush" instead of "vote for kerry".

Even they can't stomach suggesting Kerry should be the Pres.

The flipflop is just the usual Kerry way.  The real dumb thing is his depicting our planned withdrawal of troops from S. Korea as a signal of weakness to the North.  The opposite is true, and he should know that.  Either he doesn't know, or he knows but can't resist trying to appeal to ignorant "swing-voters" who will believe anything.  Either way, the thought of him as president is skerry.

I'm sure it is just another "complexity" to the two faced ****

"Now I know there are those who criticize me for seeing complexities – and I do – because some issues just aren't all that simple. "

I guess the TRUTH is one of those "issues" - LOL

The Democrats let the left persuade them that they could get another Clinton in power and so they went for it. Too late for a more moderate like Lieberman now. Maybe they'll learn from this before '08.

Putting Hillarys head on a pole might be interesting in some cultures, but putting her back in the White House in any manner is a sickening thought.

From ABC:

Quote
John Kerry fought back Thursday against campaign allegations that he exaggerated his combat record in Vietnam, accusing President Bush of using a Republican front group "to do his dirty work" and challenging Bush to debate their wartime service records.

There's the pot calling the kettle black. My cod, the hypocrisy! The sheer hypocrisy!

The debate should be about where and how they're going to lead the country the next 4 years. After all, 30 years ago they were a couple of Junior Officers. We're not dealing with MacArthurs or Eisenhowers here.

I disagree Toad- instead of a debate they should have a "mini decathalon" where they throw a baseball, shoot a shotgun, power a Sedgeway and speed eat pretzels.

Oh, but I DO agree that all the crap about who did what 35 years ago is irrevelant, and I wish they'd focus on the important stuff- like how to throw a baseball, shoot a shotgun, ride a Sedgeway or speed eat pretzels.

Notice that modus operendi of either side is to demonise the oppossion.  And generally the oppossion does respond to it.

No one is talking platform.  It's all, "Your guy is bad for America and so are you.".
