Title: Looking for good dogfighting films
Post by: Simaril on August 19, 2004, 07:33:52 PM
I'm stalled in my flying development, and I think part of the problem may be that i have some trouble visualizing the 3D maneuvers I read about -- and especially their application.

I would really appreciate it if some of you skilled pilots would sent me films of your exploits. I'd love to learn by seeing how you do what you do!

My profile shoudl let you email to me directly, so I won't post the address visibly to avoid the spammers lurking around every corner...

Thanks in advance.:aok

Thanks guys -- i had already mined the leviathin link, but the 479th stuff was new to me.

BTW, murdr, the link to the notrusty.zip seems broken

Keep 'em coming -- I'm really hoping this will help me move up to the next level. (Right now I'm stalled at about the height of a Japanese tea table.):lol

I just posted some films in this forum, the P-38 vs. Spitfire thread (also has N1K2 films, both good examples of low/stall speed turn fighting) and Fun P-38 film.  That film shows at the beginning the stall handling charactistics of the P-38.

Posting your film links in this forum doesnt get them up on the squads film page.  That was what I ment.  :) Anyone logged in the squad site can submit a download.  Admin (crims or I) oks it, and ta-da! its posted.  BTW if you followed the link you'd see I just recently lifted one you posted here.

Email me my login info to the squad page so I can upload these films.  And  I have no idea why we just don't take this conversation to the squad email.
