Torque,
Predicting you'll get this camera next:
imaging-resource.comCanonEOS20D (http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/E20D/E20DA.HTM)
dpreview.com/canoneos20d (http://www.dpreview.com/articles/canoneos20d/default.asp)
This one will be my next. Can't wait!
Faster frame rate, bigger buffer - 5fps @ 23 shots (more shots with faster card). 8.2 MP Digic II. Faster and more sensitive autofocus. 0.2 sec start up time. USB 2.0 HiSpeed file transfer. 1/8000th fastest shutter speed. $1500.00

sweeeeet.
-
You are correct Sir!
They sure did improve all the weak points of the 10D, especially the fps and buffering. Three fps with a buffering of nine is lacking when it comes to sports.
Btw they had to replace the IS unit in the 100-400.
Cheers...Bud. :)

Oh, forgot to mention another important detail....better dynamic range too. :)
Canon upped the ante in the under $3k DSLR market. Seems Nikon is the only other serious player.
The 100-400 has too many disadvantages for my tastes.
I just ordered the 300mm f/4L IS.
-
Looks great!
I wonder if Nikon will match it with a D200..
-
Don't you have a 400 IS Saburo?

Eventually, they'll have something that will surpass it. Just takes time.
-
I've got the 400mm f/5.6L. It doesn't come in with an IS. Razor sharp but it was a bit much at the PoF and Moffett Airshows. The 300 should be juuuust right.

Eventually is practically a Nikon motto. :)

LOL :D
At least they're in the game. Remember, Canon plays that "eventually" game too.
Where's Olympus, Pentax, Minolta, Sigma, etc ? They are lagging behind badly. I don't think they have the resource $ and the R&D to compete.

how re u doing grun with ur dx 70??
i wanna see some pics
:)
-
D70 is great! :)
Really was a great move to get into SLR instead of one of the new 8 megapixel fixed lens cameras.
-
I thought this shot looked nice, makes me think of money. :)

The market seems to be scattering out.
Drebel at the bottom of the price and capability range
Then D70 higher price but really moved the bar at capability signifigantly
This one seems to be above the D70 in capability and price.
Like they have decided not to compete apples to apples.
-
It's the nature of the business. The top companies need to surpass the competition, not meet it. It is a good time to be in photography as it's getting better and better. I want more apples to oranges evolution in cameras! :D

Man, I wish I had the pro-experience to share with you, but I just started this year. I haven't dealt in that aspect of photography...yet. I'll get to ask you those questions when I finally get there :c)
Never give up your copyrights. Make sure you're attributed credit whenever your image is used. Make sure you get copies of the books/magazines/etc where your image is used. I do know that you as you gain a reputation and experience, you'll command top dollar.
Man, I am really happy for you!! I really like your work! Let me know about the details of what happens. Good luck!

Have either of you been published at all yet? It's a bit cool... especially when they mispell your name.
