do you value most of all the things you have, and why?
It can be everything from a car to a pice of clothing. Let say there is a fire and you can only take one thing (not people) with you out of the house and everything else is destroyed.

first instinct... my PC, becuase losing all the data would soooooo suck, especially all the mp3's

except the dog and the cat we have, i'd rescue the notebook i have. Not that the value of it is that great (Latitude C640) but there is a lot of valuable data i have there... it'd be hard to recreate... of course i have it on the CD's also... but you sand ONE item, not some items...

My small file cabinet with all our "important" papers contained within.

depends on the situation... If you are not alone you might consider taking the human that is in the house but, if you are alone you might want to consider your wallet... ID, credit cards etc.

Rip... my gunsafe is fireproof so most of the important stuff is in there. Get a lot more use out of that safe than I thought I would.
