I don't think we are talking about the same kind of "sloppy Joe."

The little I have heard about it, he said he was just repeating what other vets have told him. It will be fun to see how they change his recorded words. I also commited these atrocities. Oh well, they have changed that cambodia date to janurary now... he he he he.

It suxxors when they use his own words to attack him dont it?
Said it before saying it again, he is either a warcriminal/ murderer
or a baldfaced liar.
But I actually think he is both, I think he commited atrocities
and I think he is a liar.

Kerry needs to get his stories right. He keeps putting out different versions of what happened every time someone raises the BS flag. I just hope most of America is catching on to that.

He never recanted the content of his testimony, just the tone he used. I belive he said that the testimony came from an angry young man and may have included that his some of his comments were 'over the top'.
Whatever he said it is not true that he recanted his testimony, remember, the bulk of his testimony related to actions of other soldiers, many of them highly decorated and honorably discharged, as told to him by the participants...a fact that the new SBVFT add convienently edits out of their new add.
I may have some of the wording he used wrong, but he still stands by his original testimony because it was true. Not all committed these acts but, speaking from personal experience, I KNOW that these things happened. Ask any groundpounder that served in Nam and I'll bet that 70% of those who saw combat had seen some of our soldiers displaying ears as trophys. Razing villages and destroying food supplys of suspected enemy sympathizers was common and was often directed from command not in the field. Torture of prisioners was usualy carried out by CIA types but in some cases where info was immediaty needed some in the field took it upon themselves to extract it by whatever means they had.
This is what war does, sometimes the desensitation that helps a soldier do his job wears off. The reality of the human cost of war can be an overpowering force and, IMO, John Kerry is of the type that takes action when he sees something wrong

LOL, nice use of the word "bulk" to avoid the pesky fact that the most damning allegations came from "veterans" who had not been in uniform at all, or never left stateside.
The swift guys are probably suckering Kerry in right now, then they will hit him with the sledgehammer (Kerrys own self-admitted warcrimes). Its not often you have a presidential candidate who also claims to be a warcriminal :)

He really got around a lot in four months.

Sure did... and I also gave the Bush/Cheney reelection campaign over $5000.00 so far.
If you are that determined to see Kerry elected... why don't you donate some to his campaign?

Because I think of a thousand better things to do with my money than giving it to ****ing politicians and thier friends, like buying a bullet to shoot myself in the head with.

That's the most intelligent thing you've ever posted in here.
:p

So it seems his testimony was a "bit over the top" and he testified to things he never saw. If I recall correctly, he was under oath to tell the truth when testifying. If he did not see the actions how could he testify about them? It seems fairly obvious that in only 4 months he could not have seen much of these activities on the ground, particularly from a swift river boat.
To me. testimony that is "over the top" is less than truthfull. In other words, fabrication and could constitute perjury.
Given his background, I can't see where he has any reason to beef about the swift boat vets ads. He had his hearsay, they have theirs.
-
Have any of you read his testamony? What exactly did he say and in what context? If he was repeating things told to him, exactly as they were told and prefaced that it was told to him exactly this way, what's the problem? Swift Boat Vets is doing exactly the same thing, except they are not under oath.

A noble thing to do thrawn. Good luck in the next life.
crying toast boy says that kerrie never recanted the fact that he told people he was a war criminal? Ok.. So I believe him.. he commited war atrocities.
As for who is presidental... it becomes clear... move on and moores 911 are lying smear tactics of the highest order... mooore is the guest of honor at the democratic convention... kerrie claims he lives moores movie "every day" ... one commercial that has swift boat guys trashing the record of a fonda pandering 4 month hero who got three puirple hearts without even getting a scar...and the sissies come friggin unglued!
The liberals are allways their own worst enemy... all the estrogen forces em to be petulant and being spoiled and thinking they are the smart and the elite makes em vulnerable to their own tactics.
