mmmm.....sounds yummy and like a great apres ski drink.
I don't really drink much at all, but when I go skiing I ALWAYS have a bottle of Baileys with me to add to the hot chocolate. :)

Next time try Peppermint Schnapes (goes well with white hot chocolate too)
:D :D

Bloody Mary:
1 part Chopin Vodka
2 parts Clamato
2 or 3 dashes of Garlic Powder
2 or 3 dashes of Tabasco or Louisiana Hot Sauce
Dash of salt
Dash of pepper
Dollop of horseraddish stirred in.
(Personally I don't botther with garnish. It just takes up space in the glass. But a couple of olives with jalapano or proscuitto stuffing is acceptable)
Stir the whole thing quite well. Let the healing begin.

Oh, and for hot chocolate for the ladies around the campfire...there is nothing, absolutely nothing, better than this:
And some rum
-
Ripper...my buddy who goes skiing with me always has a bottle of peppermint schnaps for his hot chocolate. It's okay, but I prefer the Baileys.
Dune...your Bloody Mary is actually a Bloody Ceasar (as you put in Clamato, instead of tomato juice).;)

Mezcal margarita
Got this recipe on the net posted by Rick Bayless.
His fast food ads are crap but he knows what to do with tequila, mezcal and Mexican food.
2 cups fresh limejuice
1-cup water
1-cup sugar
1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. bitters
9 oz. mezcal (It was a holiday so I used 12)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
* Use long stemmed margarita glasses, which helps keep the drink chilled
and away from warm hands.
* To chill glasses, rinse them and place them stem-side up in a freezer
for about 15 minutes. Remember to never place fine crystal in a
freezer.
* The key to a great margarita is not to over salt the rim of the glass.
Start by running a quartered lime around the rim of the glass. Pour
some coarse or kosher salt onto a napkin, and then lightly touch the
glass rim to the salt. Shake off any excess so that only a small
crust remains.
* When using fresh limes, roll the whole lime back and forth on a table
before cutting it. This releases more flavor from it.
* Make sure you don't use too much ice when blending your frozen
margaritas. It only needs to be enough to barely float in the liquid
(usually a large handful will do). Blend for only about one minute,
or until you no longer hear the ice churning. The mixture should
appear to be thick and slushy.
* To make thicker textured frozen margaritas, place the filled blender
canister in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
It also helps to have a world-class margarita recipe, just like the one Keogh has developed for those home bartenders out there.
Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (from 4 to 5 lemons)
* 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from 2 to 3 limes)
* a splash of fresh orange juice (from half an orange)
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 1/2 cups tequila
* 3/4 cup triple sec
* 3 3/4 cups water
* ice
In a pitcher (or blender), combine the sugar and water, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Add the lemon and lime juices, as well as the splash of orange juice. Mix in the tequila and the triple sec, stirring well. Keep it in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve.

Tomato juice - Bloody Mary (see Horn's recipe)
Clamato Juice - Bloody Caesar
Clamato Juice (http://www.mottsclamato.com/DiveIn.html)
-
Perfect Bloody Mary:
1 Tall bloody Mary
1 Tall cold Beer
1 Tall glass of ice water
Drink all three simultaneously, and your hangover is gone.
-
And if you pour the beer in a glass of Clamato you have a Red Eye. Also a yummy drink in the truck after a day working in the fields-type drink :D
-
i see lots of fancy stuff
me? just plain rum and coke + cubes
no hangovers at all
-
Hangover cure??
Grab the half beer that you left on the coffee table when you passed out, put it to your lips, look at the ceiling and drink until empty. Spit out cigarette but. Burp long and loud, go to fridge, get cold beer and repeat.
Guaranteed that your hangover will be gone in less than 5 minutes.
-
Sheesh, people. KISS.
pour whiskey in a glass
drink from the glass
What more could a man want? :)
culero (adding a little ice is OK if its hot outside)
-
2oz Cuervo Reserva de La Familia
2oz Grand Marnier 150
2oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
-
Regardless of ingredients, put the mix in a big ziplock with equal portions of ice. Wrap in a towel and shake vigourusly for 5-10 minutes.

Pour it in a glass? Drink it from a glass? What are you .... a preppie?

a slight mod on the margarita recipe.
keep the tequila in the freezer so it's as cold as possible. substitute the lime juice for 1/4 of a lime per drink(peel included).
up the tequila to 3 shots
blend the tequila and lime first.
add the Cointreau (or other mix) and blend again
then add the ice.
with the tequila frozen and pre blended with the lime you can add 3 shots instead of 2 and it's twice as smooth
-
Bloody Mary.
Cant stand the things myself but this is how my father taught me how to make them for him when I was like 7 years old.
Continued to make them this way for him and a good deal of his friends over the next bunch of years.
Vodka
Clamato or V8 (whichever you prefer or are in the mood for)
Couple splashes of Tobasco
Couple splashes of Worcestershire sauce
Dash of salt
fresh ground pepper
Ice
-

Put bucket in freezer wait a couple hours Dampen the rim of glass and mash in salt
Scoop out the now partially frozen margaritas
Drink drink drink
Get smashed, Pray at the ceramic temple
And do it all again next week

<I like to take that same recipe minus the 2 oz. of lime juice (which is added by muddling) and throw it over some ice in a Mixing glass, squeeze the juice from a sliced lime into the glass, then throw the lime in on top of it after de-juicing, muddle for 45 seconds, pour into a Martini glass thats been sitting in the freezer. MMmmmm. It tends to release just a skosh of lime oil from the skin when you muddle it making it taste very tart, with the Cointreau taking the edge off.

Before posting any recipes I got to get the rules straight.
Are you mostly interested in "high end" recipes as touted in the other thread that will improve your social skills and help you pick up chicks....................... ............ or you more interested in cool ways to mix up some good ole Who Hit John and cop a buzz? (BTW if they can put something in a Martini glass that I will be "glad" to pay ten bucks for, it had better be gold nuggets.)
I say...Do you have any Grey Poupon? I need some for this here hotdog. :D

Coming from a man who lives in McAllen....my guess is you use the ice cubes regularly. :)
