What is the difference between IC and ID?

(I can see the armament but i'd like statistics)

I smell a patch in the next 2 weeks :-)

S!

Good Scenario plane.  It will work very well in a Desert based CA.  It is dead meat in the MA.  Very slow and the wing loading with the cannons is higher than the 109F4 as far as I know.

One comment:  The Soviets tested the IID,(they received a number lend lease from the Brits) and discovered it couldn`t penetrate the frontal armour of the PZ MKIV.  The gun on the IID was a 40mm, essentially the same as the British 2lber AT gun.  The 2lber was used very successfully on British Tanks in the desert during `41 and `42.  However it was replaced with 6 lbers on the British tanks or 75mm on the Shermans after the Pz MkIV appeared.  The Soviets did not use the IID`s they were sent.

The IID was designed with the PZ MKIII in mind.  The armour on the MkIII was much less heavy than the MkIV and was vulnerable to the 40mm.

The 40mm of course could penetrate the rear armour of the MkIV, but so could the Hispano 20mm on the IIC.  And considering the low ammo load and rate of fire of the IID and difficultly in hitting tank targets, it`s useability after the replacement of the MkIII by the MkIV was in question.

In fact the British discontinued manufacture of the IID after `42.  They replaced the cannon as their main airborne AT weapon with the AT Rkts currently available on the Typhoon.  These Rkts also equipped the later model Hurricanes such as the MkIV.

But since HTC has modelled the IIC, and the IID is essentially the same shape except for the cannon, then it was a good choice to add it.

 Clearly this thing is useless against tanks and will just be used by the current generation of spitdweebs who find their Hispanos just aren't good enough to HO tough planes like the P47. Do we really need this in AH?

PS Bring the Stuka w/37mms to AH!

:D Just wanted to be the first.

Funny isn't it. GVs are super tough and in next version they will be fixed right when we get the 2 x 40mm cannon. Hmmm.

Now we just need the Ju 87G.  Then we can have the ultimate HO championship with Il-2 vs Hurricane IID vs. Ju 87G.   :D
