Title: Next problem (MAN!) No sound unless...

Can hear engine start and all other sounds while engine start sequence is in progress... as soon as engine start is complete no sound is heard unless the stall buzzer goes off - then all sounds are audible again until stall warning is silent.

Fresh install didnt do the trick.

did you try running dxdiag and turning your sound card acceleration back a notch?

Yes - and then back again.  Same problem in both cases.

If you would please email me a DXDIAG output, I will take a peek and see if anything shows up suspect.
