Mr. Thurlow had no tangible evidence, and he admitted that, of what he was saying.

Neither of the respective campaign managers had any clue as to what this had to do with where their respective candidate would lead the nation in the next four years.

Blinders indeed. This is about the crappy tone politics has taken in this Country and the right wings wholehearted acceptance of it.
There are some questions about Kennedy's story re. PT109. What would have happened to Nixon if he had brought that up in 1960?
This all started with the effort to "get Clinton" by the right. It continues today through the hatchetjob done on McCain and the attacks on Kerry's record.
Sickening is all it is. And I include Michael Moore's half truths in this mix too.
- But Kerry is running on his war record so it is fair game!!!
So show me how only 4 months of admittedly pretty heroic combat means nothing when we are talking about running a Country. Perfectly acceptable. But these attacks and accusations are undefendable.

John Kerry has nothing else to run on. His 20 years in the senate were an absolute failiure.. So its vietnam for him.. The funny thing is how he trots out his "band of brothers" at every turn - the same men he broadly painted as being warcriminals and butchers on the scale of Ghenghis Khan..
Nobody should vote this trash, or vote at all, it's not wort your time... Are these best men we have? The bestr leaders? Or is this a contest of the most psychotic, most well connected egomanicas?

Show me how serving as a Junior Officer in a war 35 years ago should be the focus of a Presidential campaign when there's a lot of other "current affairs" that need resolution. A shadow war with terrorists, establishing democratic governments in two countries with no history of democracy, a lethargic economy where jobs continue to go overseas due to "free trade", medicare/prescriptions for seniors, tax debate/national debt..... well, I could go on but I think you get the point.
Kerry made his VN service the focal point of the campaign. Now he's not so happy about that.
A smart guy would rise above this and say "my record is out there..... let's talk about what needs doing now" and proceed to do just that.
This VN thing is a tarbaby for him. If doesn't figure out a way to let go, it's only going to get worse for the Winter Soldier.

When both want the office so bad it makes me wonder.
I think this whole vietnam thing is stupid. let him be the war hero. I dont care one bit about it. Show me the policies for today, how they both can do things for today and pay for them today and tomorrow. The only thing that bothers me is the anti war stuff after the war. Other then that I really dont care who wins...because my life will be exactly the same no matter who wins.

Gentlemen it all comes down to character , did kerry lie about cambodia? and if he did what else did he lie about? Why wont he release all his military records,what is he hiding. Do any of you remember asking that about bush?
Do all the liberals here believe, that the overwhelming majority of all those vets that you hold in such hi esteem are lying? Ah, I see, only the 20 or so that are siding with kerry are telling the truth, the hole truth, and nothing but the truth....Does anyone know the story from rassmanns own mouth of what happened?If you did you couldnt possibly say some of the things you do.
Oh btw why doesnt it matter to you that rassmann and others have been on kerrys payroll since jan. Come on show me the spin.
