Title: Weathering also
Post by: Kev367th on August 23, 2004, 03:10:56 PM
Tried out something new using noise maps to produce weathering/fading.

Stanford Tucks Hurri 2c in which he got kills #27 and 28

compare to old method

Opinions, ideas welcome, I think fading may be a little harsh.

It does give it a more realistic look, but Im not so sure about the fading.  It seems a little bit strong because I can clearly see where white spots are.  Maybe if you tone that down a few opacity points it would be better?

(Also got me looking at my Spitfire skin, its even more noticeable than yours. :D )

I believe it works for Photoshop and PSP.

Trick is to find the SE version 3
Install it to your plugin directory.
Goto add/remove progs and remove Eyecandy 4000 (demo only), leave Eyecandy 3.
