Has anything at all happened with this program?

I was just down in Grand Prairie, TX recently, and met Duane Williams, Bell's Cheif Test Pilot. He told me that they are still going strong with the 609 program, but it hasn't made a full transition to forward flight in the airplane mode (as of the end of June). It's been hovering, both tethered and free, and has had the nacells forward to 45 degrees IIRC.

Odd question for this forum :D
