There was a double MG 151 gondola at least for the Fw190. A reference of mine states that the Fw190A8/R1 was one of the most heavily armed fighters of the war. It had two 13mm MGs and two root MG 151, and under each outboard wing a gondola with 2 more MG 151's, totalling 6x 20mm and 2x13mm.

MUA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAA!!! I'd LOVE to see that in AH!

Best way to do it Kwessa is to go by individual Varient.

Each FW-190 had it's own set of kits. An FW-190A6R1 is not the same as an FW-190A5R1.

The FW-190A5/R1 has the FUG 16ZE which is the same radio as the FUG 16Z but it operated in the 40Mc/S - 45 Mc/S band (like the ZS).  It did not come equipped with the direction finding equipment of the FUG 16 ZY.  The varient is found primarily in Aufklarer photoreconnaisance units.

The FW-190A6/R1 has the twin MG 151 gondolas.

So to say, give me an R1 kit for my FW-190 could lead to a big disappointment.

The U factory conversion's are just as confusing.

Some books that cover the R Kits and U conversions well:

Good general reference on all LW A/C kits:
