Title: How's Arnie Doing?
Post by: Gixer on August 28, 2004, 12:35:32 AM
So how's Arnie doing in California? Interesting to know after the flak he took from being a non politican with no experience. And if he's doing a better job then the previous guy.

It would be impossible for him to do worse than the last Gov.

Can't tell that he's done anything at all beyond repealing the vehicle registration "tax" that Gray had planned. The state prison guards all got thier raises as promised by Gray. We pay more for gasoline than most other states. Many (if not most) counties charge sales tax on top of the state's 7%. Hell, the city council knuckleheads are talking about a city sales tax as well.

All in all... it's looking up. :aok

I have to agree with sandman.  I'm not actually a resident but I do live here, Arnie gets under the skin of some liberals and a few republicans but to me that just means he's doing his job.

To me a gov. is not somone who pleases people.  A gov. is somone who gets in state workers/reps tulips when they arent doing their job.  I like him because he doesnt seem like the status quo politician, although he may be one.

California has alot of "repair" work to do before it can continue to grow and I think that work has been done in earnest.

making the indians a little closer to equal was a brave (can you say brave in here?) thing to do.   I believe Arnie will bring back some of the bussiness lost by the gray one.
