I have ch products stick throttle and pedals
and have received the same message while not doing much other than lining up for a kill.
If your low and the stick frezzes your died.
I have to say turn it off very annoying.

I have CH products also. My rudder pedals (Pro Pedals) spike bad, even with clean, new pots. All I did to 'cure' the lock ups, was to add some more deadband adjustment under stick set up. Give this a try, should help you out. Maybe you need more deadband on the other two joystick axis as well.

Deadband is the key here I think.
Had to do it alot in AW too.
