Loosing ur illusions 1 and 2, is my favorite.

Appitite is probably among the best all time rock albums IMO. One of few that you can pop in the stereo, and many people know every word of every song start to finish.
-
I liked the first album but never bought into the hype. Like so many other talanted musicians, axle forgot. Its just music.

One of my all time favorite bands..Too bad Axl is such an prettythang and ruined it all.

Use your Illusion I and II are great albums you can listen to pretty much anywhere. No one else, to the best of my knowledge, has ever released a double-header like that as a regular album. Two-disc releases are usually special occasion stuff, like Metallica's S&M or a greatest hits deal. Nope, G n' R did it as a regular release.
G & R Lies: Excellent acoustic set!
Appetite: Pretty good music all around
Use Your Illusion I & II: Great pair
The Spaghetti Incident: Don't bother
Interview with the Vampire soundtrack: Sympathy for the Devil cover! Also the last song the original members did as a band.
If you get the chance, watch VH1's Behind the Music episode on G n' R. Definitely first-rate!

"The Beatles" was a 2 disc regular release in 1968.
The album cover ( next album after Sgt Pepper) was completely white except for a small silver "The Beatles" label on it, thus it is commonly known as "The White Album".
Pretty cool idea back then to release a double album...especially an ablum with nothing on the cover other than the band's name. It's probably my favorite Beatles album.
...edit: The album is another example of the Beatles being a step ahead of the times they defined. After Sgt Pepper's wild cover and elaborate photos and studio effects, everyone probably expected them to follow along that new physcedelic trend. Insted they pulled a complete 180 and delved further into the "cool" factor by releasing a "back to basics" sound with little overdubbing and a stark as can be album cover. I admire them in many ways.

I saw an interview with Steve Tyler once where he was talking about how Aerosmith had been back together and developing a new sound... but GnR came out with "Appetite for Destruction" and beat them to it. I laughed pretty damn hard.
GnR had a great sound. One that was a departure from the rest at the time. Not many bands have done that since... Nirvana being the only one that comes to mind.

Prolly my fav band of all time.
The live album they released a few years back was very good.
The cover of It's all right (Ozzy song I think) was better then the original.
I can listen to GnR and never get tired of them. Apitite being the best and The Use your illusion ones second and third, but I like it all even spegetti.
Axle ruined them by being a wacko flake but he was 50% of what made them as well.
Good taste in Music viking boy!!!:D
