Spit 9
331 Sqn (Norwegian), 1944
Flown By Lft Col Rolf Arne Berg.
The Norwegians drove the RAF high brass crazy with their own 'refinements' to the basic scheme. This one was probably the most 'extreme'.

red white and blue looks a bit to brite for the rest of the plane. Maybe.. weathering effects will help?
-
Yeah, re-read the site. I used colors off the Norwegian flag, where in fact they used what was available, so would be RAF red/white/blue.
Check 1st pic again, nearest side has new colors.

Heh... "Go fast stripes"..
I don't know. It's kinda cool. Kinda distinctive. Makes you stand out in a group (what skins should do) yet doesn't detract from the skin in any way. I say go for it!
-
Think the more subdued colors look better.
Ah well back to the other project.

The wings look awesome, but for some reason the extreme detail and weathering seems to end at the fuselage. Hmm
-
It doesn't, its the way the skin is stretched over the fuselage. plus the angle pic taken at, light is washing it out a little.
As you can see the weathering is all over.
Excuse paint chips etc, redoing them with diff process.
