WB2004  is still around and kicking.

US prime time top about 120 or so from what I've heard.

Scenarios is still the best in WB with S3 around 150 pilots.

new ETO terrain rocks

many new japanese planes and yet more to come ( russian this time)

Strategy is on the move (finally)
New DM has been posted to programmers for implementation.

Gunnery is very much like the new AH2 ( and has been so last 2 year)

IMO AH2 is the better GAME and WB2004 is the better SIM ( but thats me :) )

I had nasty warps 2 months ago in ah2
and lockups with videocard memory full etc.
has that been fixed ?

Looks like they barely have to use cannon rounds in that game and bombers snap in half fast. I'm happy to be playing AH2. Only thing that game has over AH is their plane set and some bomb eye candy ,which will be a non-factor in time.

A well produced film; but not that inspiring.

Most of the shots were familiar; and they've become a bit cliché in these sim demo films. There's been a couple of IL-2 films in the last couple of months that show the way forward as far as these things go in respect to developing a story line or illustrating a point. These days; any/all sims should be capable of making a pretty picture; it needs more than that.

The visual quality was a bit fuzzy; but maybe that's a function of the export to avi process; AH suffers the same drop in quality.

As far as the Sim goes; it seems a strange mix; visually at least. The Spit colours are a bit cartoon bright and the colour in general seems a bit oversataurated. From the alts flown; the ground looked a lot better than AH; possibly better than IL-2; but you'd have to fly down to see that; and I'd have liked to see some shots over water. The blast effects were extremely good. Can they be felt on the ground (GV damage? exploding a ring of Osty's would be a hell of a screen shot!)? and I like the hit sprites; or WB's version of giving the same information.

The cockpits were the big surprise; are they bit maps? They seemed very much like AW3; and bluntly; ugly. There were even one or two I had trouble recognising; and I'd have thought in the 21 st. century one should recognise a cockpit immeadiatly.

OTH; there was some very nicely flown formations; something almost never seen in AH. Even in scenario's, few, if any AH fliers make any attempt at formation flying nor examining it's function.

All in all it's a nice clip; but not one I'll archive.
