looks like a 5 shot gun.. so probably larger caliber.

Looks very similar to if not is a Mosin Nagant pistol

Mosin-Nagant is a Western name for 1891 (/1930) three-line (7.62mm) bolt-action rifle. Here it's known as Mosin's rifle. Nagant was only a competitor to Mosin, and lost the competition.

Russian 1895 Nagant revolver doesn't have anything common with Mosin.

True, my mistake, then my revised guess is some model of Nagant Revolver.   I don't know much about the pistol really, just fond of the rifle.
