I haven't much time for AH lately, but um, heres my commentary on the DX8 P3 beta. I hope the skins get fixed quickly, I like getting motion sick  :)

to breifly explain, the sensation of speed given by those new textures while close to the ground as compared to before was most startling.

Oo, should get the limited edition boxed set Nifty.  :) Comes with extra material and a book about the making I think.

Just read the book myself. The ending is much clearer now.  :)

I think that's the one I put down in the wish list.  Yup, it was.

And did you mean the ending was clearer after reading the booklet from the DVD or the novel by Arthur C. Clarke?  If you read the novel, you'll wish they have done more with after going through the stargate in the movie.  Imagine if they re-mastered it like they did with the Star Wars flicks.  They could extend the scenes pod on the other side of the stargate.  The movie is a classic, but they really could have done more with it over all.  It'll be interesting to read the booklet to see why things were left out and done like they were.

Yea, the book explains the ending a lot clearer than the movie. After reading the book, I had to watch the movie agian, and it all made sense.  :)

Theres another book out, I forget the name (has something to do with 2001) and author at the moment. It talks about why the movie was changed from the book, and why certain things are the way they are. Sounds really interesting.

Anyhow, this is getting way off topic.  :)
