It's still August...why so early?
College soon....that's really fun.
Then....well then you have to work afterwards. That sucks.

Yea, it gets better. Soon you can buy your own beer! Or at least you won't have to try to sneek back into your parent's house after the party.
When you go to college, make sure you GO AWAY to college. You'll regret it if you don't. Make it happen somehow even if you can't afford it right away. Just get out of your hometown for at least a few years.
If you aren't planning on going to college, change your plans because it's not too late. College is 4 years of pain followed by a lifetime of somewhere around 30% higher average salary. Plus people with college degrees tend to get a chance to tell other people what to do, rather than always being bossed around for your whole career. That's a definate bonus even better than the higher salary.
You don't see many millionaires without college degrees. Sure, hardly ANYONE makes that kind of money whether they have a college education or not, but why give up before you even start? If you get a degree, at least you have a chance at the big time. If you don't, your only chance is to be not only a genius, but a lucky genius.
And if you've ever wanted a porsche, corvette, private aircraft, or anything else that's beyond what everyone else does, don't enlist in the military unless you are going to just stay in 4 years then get out to go to college or something. Enlisted pay rarely does more than just cover the bills, trust me. There are some enlisted career fields with big bonuses, but even then a good non-military career can make that entire bonus every couple of months over a longer period of time.
If you really want to do something that you can only do in the military, then by all means go for it. There are some kickass good jobs in the military, both on the officer and enlisted side of the house. But nobody should EVER enlist just for the paycheck. It's not that kind of job and the pay pretty much sucks when you consider what you have to do to get it.
Whoops, my old-fart school rant crept out. Sorry :)

hmph...so far on the jobs list i have dealer in cruise ship casino, and butler, or interpreter at some historical site somewheres...
-
I had no idea you were that young.
-
Vort sounds like you did the same thing that I did in highskool.
I took full classes all the way up until the final year in order to condense the slacking during grade 12.
For some reason I dont really remember what I did during all my spares... Hmm, go figure.

My 5 year old daughter had her first day of kindergarden They grow up so quickly (DOOOGHHH....I told my self I wasnt going to cry)
Ok aside from the dramatics she looked like a princess going to school for the very first time. She was very brave as mommy and daddy waved good by and left her in the capable hands of her teacher. She even had homework (drawing lines on a peice of paper in order to later connect them to make letters).
At least she's waking up at 630AM wich means she's ready for bed at 9PM.
I'd post pictures but I dont trust half of you jackles :D

One thing to remember... NOBODY will ever care how popular you were in High School. In fact in 5 years you won't even remember that chick that the football player stole from you.
Hell, I was the football player and I don't even remember her name!
-
You only have two classes?
I have had a full schedule for the last 3 years, am entering my senior year, and still have 5 or 6 challening classes....

Awesome Gun. I will be looking forward to that in a few year. I have a 6 month old baby boy, that is giving me more gray hairs than I care to share. :)

yup....they do that to ya. I have a 5 year old and a very fearless 2.5 year old.
The coolest thing about school is its like free day care (although I dont want to degrade it to that)
My son has made me age more than anything else in my life. He still has 3 more years before school.

That could not be father from the truth, but each to his own I guess.

LOL...
The first day of school for my oldest son was heartbreaking...same for the younger one (although he had his brother there already so it wasn't too bad for us or him).
Lots of tears, gnashing of teeth and trying to hold onto Mummy or Daddy.
Of course he was really excited about the whole concept when we picked him (older one) up that day. Lots of fuss about nothing.
