Title: 52
Post by: Creamo on February 11, 2001, 07:39:00 PM
I will never forget that base on this map, ever.

It took the better part of my day leveling it, dogfighting over it, de-chuting Gronk over it(hey, you had TNT in your pockets, lol) and dying on for no gain but fun and frustration.

The Rooks think they had won in defence, but in fact they have only awoken a fat sleeping giant.

All subsiquent bases will be taken with consideration of sequence, aircraft type, and ordinance dispersion. Our drunkeness will never be mistaken for foolishness.

Die Rook tards, die.

Had I not been called to higher powers (Outback Steak House for dinner with friends to consume hot cow and a gluttony of cold beers)I would be still attacking that tard infested shiithole of a base named 52.

I did enjoy the missions Nash, Sand, and Storm, and apologise I bought a new MIC for RW and you could hear me.

Ill be back after dinner, they can only drink for so long. Then we'll see about 52 once again.

Right you are Creamo.. we funneled a fleet; 4 squads; innumerable buffs; strikes on 50 and 53 to kill hangers.. 52 would not fall.

On the plus side; we came outta the reset blinded.. no dar; 2 fleets off our island and within 3 minutes of getting the dar back we lost A-11 on the home island. THAT was a battle too... during the course of it we lost A10, but within an hour of getting 11 back we got back 10 and captured a9 and were finally able to look around.. but couldn't.. we had no radar again. LOL.

Thru this all; the FDB's had been workin on 52.. what started as 4-6 guys hittin an isolated rook base turned into a battle royale. When the fight for 10 and 9 was completed there were no less than 85 aircraft involved in the mele from both sides... when the radar finally did come back on we were all stunned to see the size of this fight..

Salute FDB's.. we'll get it yet.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Heh, Creamo... Was nice to hear your voice clearly for a change rather than the usual bvvvfftt, bvffft hehe. Storm was using a new mic today also, which was long over due. This guy has the deepest voice on the planet... the frequency of a mile radius bass woofer... but at least now I could make out what he was saying  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Btw Hang, it was about 4 of us SBM attackin' 52 and Creamo was with us. Usually it's the other way around, where we tag along with them. Creamo's revelation: "Shit - you guys are just like the FDB, you cannot take bases at all!"  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

MUAHAHAHAHA! My first base capture this tour was at A11 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  2 people took that base all by their lonesome.  It served us well to distract the bish while we captured 9 and 10.  Of course, its difficult to hold remote bases when the ENTIRE bish nation is hitting you in the east and the ENTIRE knit nation is hitting you in the west.

Amidst the melee at A11, I decided to give the Yak-9 a try.  For two sorties at A11 and 3 at A52 I managed a 14:2 record.  That plane was a real pleasure to fly as 3 out of the 4 people posting so far in this thread found out (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  My personal favorite was the vulch of a retard N1k2 that decided he could land on our runway at 52 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)  Ooooo... the maneuver kill on a P-47 was good too (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I tell ya.. 52 was really a kick for the two hours I was there (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)  Thanks for all the action guys! <S>

Hey, thanks for all the gunnery practice (and the quick trip back to the tower!) Decided to try out the LA-5, and was trying to cope with the different ballistics involved. Ended up missing even more than usual! Lotsa fun though <S>
