Tonight should be good. He likes to pick on Arnie. Curious to see what they will do with Arnold's speech.
-
His 'pokes' at Arnnie boarder on insulting, IMO.
I still recall him calling his gubernatorial candidacy "Pathetic."

Good thing "The Daily Show" isn't a real or credible news source. And who the heck is Jon Stewart anyway? Goes from having a short lived show of his own to nobody to trying to fill the shoes of Craig Kilborn. Yeah he's gone places :D
-
I do not mind his style of humor at all. I can see where some would get worked up about it though.
He picks on everyone eventually.
Just have to remember, it is a comedy show, not a news show.
-
Jon Stewart has been around for years. If you've ever seen The Larry Sanders Show, he was the permanent replacement host (a la Jay Leno). He is very intelligent and quick on his feet like Dennis Miller. There are no sacred cows. The Daily Show is a perfect fit for him.

I'm going to have to do some searching, but I seem to recall that the Daily Show ratings with Stewart far exceed those of the Kilborn.

Took me a while to start watching the show after kilburn left, but i enjoy it much more now.

Dont get me wrong - I watch his show from time to time and I find it amusing, but when his "off the left edge of the map" side comes out I cant stand him.

Perhaps, but it's still usually funny if you take it all with a grain of salt.
Nothing like that POS Maher. Maybe its cause Stewart will take shots at the left too.
-
Sandman, it's a funny show by itself. The cohost change had nothing to do with it getting more and more attention later on.
-
He is the Host, the writing is brilliant, and Stewart is the creative leader of the show. He has almost everything to do with it's success.
Oh and laser... IARYAWSSTFU.
-
Yep MT. And every now and then Stewart nails someone to the wall. He got Cheney good the other night, but he has also nailed Kerry and Bush as well.
Overall, it is a funny show. Gotta love it when he goes after other news stations/reporters.
-
Same goes for Lewis Black... he's a good fit on the show. He skewers everyone as well.
-
Yep, agreed. Lewis Black is a trip.
-
I kept all 4 of the DNC shows on tape. His report on the news shows and their take on Sharpton's speech was hilarious.
MSNBC guy to Sharpton - I noticed the teleprompter standing still for 30 minutes while you riffed on whatever it is you were riffing on...
Cut to Sharpton Speechifying - "Our vote is purchased by the blood of our forefathers and is sacred to us"
Cut to Stewart - Skee bop da woo bop deedle dee.... ..... "RIFF? WHAT THE F___ WERE YOU WATCHING?"
-
He was beeboppin and skattin all over the place.

Kind of like Hannity and Combes)
