Title: How'd He Do That??
Post by: bowser on February 12, 2001, 09:39:00 PM
Somebody has to explain this one to me.

Fastfoward through the film I've included below, towards the very end. I'm overtaking a F4U, we're both at high speed, and when I'm about D3-4 he magically stops in midair.  As I fly by, mouth agape, I look back and he is now going full speed about D3-4 on my six.  This wasn't a warp, nor did he disappear and reappear.  If you watch closely, it's quite smooth.  I have an excellent ADSL connection, and I've never had connection problems.  I tried to get his name by augering, but I took a few pings from a P-38, and I'm sure he got the kill, not the F4U.
So...how'd he do it?

It looks as if the Hog had serious connection issues.  Notice that after he seemed to stop in place he just kept on going and never moved again?  Ultimately he flies straight and disappears completely from view.  Classic symptoms of a dump.
