Thanks for taking all the recent events close to your heart.

It's a great feeling - understanding that our nation is not alone.

I hope no country will suffer from such disasters.

Political and national borders are irrelevant when attrocities have been committed.  Let's hope that always stays true.

You and your country have my support.

We're thinking of you guys today Boroda, and stay safe.

We just had a couple of former Spetz guys come through the school (they live in Canada now and are going private sector).  I'd fight with them anyday, I hope their comrades are spooling up for a massive strike against these scum at this very second.

Again, Boroda, political differences asside, all the best to you and your country.

What a nightmare. I feel so sorry for the families of those who had loved ones held hostage and, even worse, killed.

I watched some footage on Reuters TV and it's horrible.

Children should never have to pay for the misdeeds, poor judgements and anger of adults.

My sympathies go out to all those who have lost loved ones in this terrible tragedy, especially the parents of children who suffered injury or death.

Boroda,

A couple of weeks ago my wife, brother-in-law, and I went to have dinner at a restaurant in one of our local shopping malls.  We noticed a big group of about 40 elementary-age kids being escorted around outside the restaurant (it was a "Bubba Gump.")   When we were seated the big group was right next to us.  They weren't any different from any other group of young kids - talking, laughing, enjoying french fries, fried seafood, and pies.  I thought they were from the mainland US until I tried to listen to them.  I only know "yes," "no," and "goodbye" in your language and trying to guess accents isn't always accurate, but our waitress confirmed they were Russian.  Not something we see here in the islands everyday, so I was happy to see them enjoying themselves here.  After their dessert the adults accompanying them (both Russian and local) thanked the waiters and waitresses and left.

Kids are kids no matter where they come from.   Taking school children hostage like that is NOT how you seek a solution.   I wish your country the best and may your warriors deal out swift and sure justice.

You russians give them some more of this!

This song, appropriately called "Holy War" popped up shortly after June 22 1941, and we know how that ended up!

My sincerest sympathies go out to the Russian people, Boroda.

I suggest Russia borrow this response from our own terrorist atrocity:  "Let's Roll".
