Hblair... I just had an idea... I dunno...

I think it might be pretty neat to film this, convert it to mpg, then send it to his family as a tribute to Sniper from the folks here at AH. I reckon it would mean alot to them.

I'm not sure how much work is involved... like I said.... just an idea.

Too bad version upgrades disable older version films. Would me nice to see some of The Snipers exploits, especially his low alt raids. Man, would he nail ya.

I think the movie would be a great tribute.

Here are my thoughts that we have been discussing on our board regarding the fly-by and tribute.  This excerpt pertains to the other squads who want to participate..let me know what you guys think:

"I may ask the other squadrons that want to participate to fall-out in parade formation alongside the rwy also. (you do this by getting on the rwy and then bailing out. You can then walk around the base).

After our fly by, we can land and then the other squadrons can to do their own fly-by if they wish.

The plane will be the F4U-1C (Sniper's Favorite Ride)."

Cobra I'd recommend the 'cano about 5miles east of V44.  I cruised around the map looking at that one and the one SSE of A53.  The one east of V44 seems to be the better choice.
Maybe use the SEA so everyone can be in the same country?

Hang I'll go with ya in the 26's.  I had ALOT of fun on NOE B26 runs with him.

And the film idea is a great one.

If someone is going to make a film, lt me know cause I have a lot of film of sn1per in action.  I also have him live in person on video tape.

I'll have to check when i get home to make sure some older AH films will work, but I have screen shots as well as real photos of him at the con.  

Also I would love to get a unedited video tape of the flyby event. I have video editing stuff and like to make movies but I don't have a video out on my card.
