Title: Cant seem to get 3rd person view of a fighter?

How come i can only get a 3rd person view of a bomber but when i hit F3 while sitting in a fighter nothing happeneds?

they dont have external veiw of the fighters in the MA.

The bombers have outside view to help simulate the fact you would have 10 eyes looking around for you.  In the fighters you only have your eyes hence no outside view.

3rd person views in fighters is not available in the MA.  Off-line and the Training arena both support this feature, just not the Main Arena.

The reason it is not available in the MA is that visibility in fighters varied and provides one source for strengths/weaknesses.  The cross-members and rear view should be considered when selecting a favorite ride.

The 3rd person view is available in bombers to simulate the fact that bombers had several sets of eyes looking in many directions.  This isn't realistic, but it is a tradeoff to attain a more realistic effect.  Of course this is a topic for debate.
