Title: Aircraft lettering...Fonts
Post by: Guppy35 on September 06, 2004, 02:33:23 PM
One of the things I keep seeing on what are otherwise great skins, are aircraft lettering that is based on the wrong fonts.

I don't do the skins, but I've done a lot of profiles of aircraft.  You can get fonts that help a lot in the look.  Needless to say the RAF, USAAF, Luftwaffe, etc had their own style of lettering on aircraft.

Try here:

This also has a lot of aircraft markings that might help.

More fonts here:

I think you'll be surprised at the difference in how it looks

Great info there Guppy.  Thanks for posting.  I downloaded the RAF and USAAF fonts from another source and it does make a huge difference in the final outlook.

Did you load the fonts to your fonts folder?  Also sometimes you have to use the "Character Map" from the system tools to copy and paste them.
