What makes it worse is that it was a war sold on bad intelligence and lies.
1000 lives countless civilians and totally unnecessary.

I was and am against our presense in Iraq. That being said it doesn't take away the respect I have for what those 1000+ did and were willing to do.
I can dislike the men who sent them there, I can dislike what they were sent there for. what I cannot do is have anything but the utmost respect and admiration for the kind of person it takes to go over there and stand in the line of fire.

to the dead in Iraq and their families.

And lets also remember the 7,000 wounded.
-
to those brave sons and daughters. My condolences to their families.

If we would have had intense training that would be called for because of hightened security and terrorist threat... we probly would have lost between 300 and 2000 soldiers to the training.

Lets not forget the 1000s of non-militant Iraqi men, women, and children that have died or wounded in this war. They count too you know..

If you cannot make the distinction between someone attempting to honor the dead and politics, then stay out of the thread. Simple.
-

They shall not grow old, as we that are left to grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them
Lest We Forget
