That last one looks photoshopped, and I only say that because the smoke is showing through the roof of the hangar, and your ailerons are NOT deflected, despite the fact you're in a rather tight roll
Hoax?
-
Do be careful to avoid the somewhat obvious Spoonerism in the thread title.

I'm not sure what that reference means. I'm not up on all the terms here. "Spooonerism"?
What now?

krusty:
"That last one looks photoshopped, and I only say that because the smoke is showing through the roof of the hangar"
And the game still has tank tracks that show thru the hillside, gauges that disappear form the panel, ground textures that seem to do strange things...............
Your point is?
Neat stunt none the less, wish I could do that in a plane.
-
I think beet wants to spoon with Batfink.
-
UH OH:p
-
no rudder in that roll to counteract alt loss.....
-
hehe I at first I thought this was gonna be a thread about a metallica video :D . Cool pictures BTW
-
If these were taken from a film then nothing show as being deflected apart from flaps.
Of course real men hit the print-screen key while performing ACM with their huge members, but thats another story.
The cynicism on this board is directly proportional to the US election, I expect the bbs to collapse into itself in early November.
-
these pics were taken from the film view. it doesn't show surface movements.
-
hehe he said member. :p
-
lol well the ******* thing wouldn't accept **** nor ****. I got as far as ***** and thought **** it ;)
-
lol chortle
-
no hoax guys.
if someone would host the film i could post it. size 1.7mb
it is a hanger pass through first hanger, half roll, then an inverted hanger pass.
honest to god, no photo shop involved.
yes they were taken from the film viewer hence the lack of rudder, elevs, ails.
and the smoke is original, it clearly shows the path of the roll, even if it has graphical error showing through the hanger.
wouldnt be any point hoaxing it, its not too hard, try it and you'll see.
you can also fly through the small doors of the VH in a small plane :D
anyone else ever do stunt flying offline?
-
Ive done an upside down Me163 through fighter hangers a bunch of times. At least 600 miles an hour.
-
hehehe jasta. nice one.
you just have to try and its amazing what you can perform just around the structures of an airfeild.
another favorite of mine is a vertical 1/4 roll going through the gap between the twin radar masts.
-
Man even I know what a Spoonerism is. I must be gettin old.
It is when you inadvetently switch the first letter of a couple of words to make a phrase with an entiely different meaning.
In the case of the thread title...it creates a phrase which is doubtlessly used on many different web-sites.

OK, that's just sick.
Nice stunt, Bat. Try this some time: Get your airspeed up and run through the hangars, pull up and do a loop so that you come back through the hangars again. Try to do this in a way that the only time you maintain an consistent attitude is during that pass through the hangars. See how many you can do before, BOOM.

lol funnily enough i did that exact move in the very same video i took these screen shots from!
if i get a chance to host it, i might post the film if you're all very very well behaved.
oh, and vorticon cant watch it, it might offend his superiour skills :p
-
Did that once in the MA. A spit followed me and hit the hanger and I made it through, for a sec I thought I was Ben Affleck or something.
Hanger tricks are old news. Wait till the guys flying bombers upside down through hangers vulching start posting.

At least there's no discussion of linguistics here.
