What's your most horrid car?
For me, I think that one can't go lower than this:
Fiat MULTIPLA

And finally the ricer version :lol :

hmmm when did they start making box body go carts?
-
Very few cars are uglier than Gremlins...but that one does give it "a run for its money".
Yuk.
-
That one and the Chrysler PT cuiser share the same place as far as I know.
-
kinda looks like a dolphin from the front... hmm... makes me want a tuna fish sandwich..

Ford Festiva

Pontiac Phoenix

AMC Gremlin (a car so ugly I couldn't stop myself from owning one. This one is NOT mine.)

Any minivan other than the new Nissan one

1973 Ford Mustang

Wow, that is pretty smurfy. Ugliest car in the States has to be the Pontiac Aztek. I'm amazed they sell any at all.
Blending some of the best attributes of several vehicle classes, with a number of features never seen before in any class, the Pontiac Aztek is a bold expression of individuality
LOL

I agree, Raub, The Aztek is by far the ugliest thing on the road in the US today.
-
A buddy of mine bought an Aztek. For features, it beats my 4runner hands-down. Lots of neat little gizmos inside, including removable picnic table, air compressor, driver's HUD, spare power outlets and cargo pockets everywhere. If only Pontiac would re-design the nose it might be more palatable.
-
That's actually rather cool..Nice clear vision all round...unlike some SUV's.
I'm with Rob..Azteck is horrid...And no rear wiper for winter
-
Functionality and eye-pleasing designs rarely meet in the middle. The ugliest designs usually sports some of the things a customer wishes for (through surveys). The most beautiful designs usually come with a higher price tag, but lack all the neat gimmicks.

Tell ya what..... the Festiva definetly was not a looker, but it sure had some good points.
I was doing security work for a company that I was putting a little over a hundred miles a day to and from work. I had a double cab GMC at the time that would automaticaly stop at every gas station. I decided to buy something cheap , with good gas mileage to drive to and from.
I bought one of these little gems brand new for $4995.00. When I sold it I had put just a little over 350,000 miles on it. The time I had it I replaced the battery twice and a headlight twice. Other than that I had spent nothing on maintenance. I never even replaced the timing belt. If someone could promise me that kind of service from an auto nowadays I would buy two of them.
-
Festiva was a great car..loads of leg room for such a hatchback.
-
Aztek definitely wins the prize for fugliness. And it ain't just the nose that's bad, that thing is an eyesore from every angle.
-
Those cars make me look back on the "thing" with a fond eye.

Ford Scorpio.... the car where you can land a F-14 on its boot (trunk!)
Renault Megane.... for such a modern car, the stylist must have been blind...
Austin Allegro... say no more! Considering Allegro means fast it never lived up to its reputation! My sister used to have a ***** green coloured one, I was so embarrassed to be seen in it!
Even uglier as an Estate...
Even more ugly as the Vanden Plas Allegro - I guess they thought putting a grill on made it classy... yeah, right!
Talbot Samba - When I first passed my driving test I used to borrow my Mothers 'Samba'. Okay, it had wheels, which perhaps was the only good thing about it! Going round the simplest of corners often meant going up on two wheels.

"What's your most horrid car? "
What isn't?
Not many cars are good looking anymore.
My Buick is sort of portly-looking. At least it has whitewalls and a hood ornament and a bit of chrome though, which instantly makes it better looking than 99% of cars on the road. It would actually look good if it was black, but being brown it just looks a bit like it needs to call weight watchers. Yes, I can poke fun at my own vehicle, too!
I especially hate any car which has a fart can tailpipe, because they not only look stupid, they also sound stupid--thus doubling the stupidity factor. Are weed-eaters supposed to sound powerful nowdays?
Since I have dual exhausts (the real kind, not two pipes out of one muffler), would I get stereo weed-eating effects if I were to install fart cans on the Buick? Would that make me a ricer god?

The site that I pulled that pick from had quite a loyal following of Festiva enthusiasts. The stock ones looked like death traps. I'd never own one. For a small hatchback, I think the old VW GTI's win hands-down on styling and racy appearance.

The new Ford Focus SVT cars aren't bad, either.

Other ugly-arsed aerodynamically challenged vehicles...boxes on wheels:
Scion

Boxes on wheels are so functional they can mysteriously transcend ugly, but the Pontiac Aztek ... it may be the all-time Ugliest Vehicle based on its popularity so far in many ugly vehicle polls.

Fiat got booted out of the US market about 25 years ago, for good reason.

Wasn't it called "Fiesta" in Europe? Or is Fiesta a different car?
My cousin in Chernovtsy (Ukraine) have bought 2 used Fiestas for $400, used one for spare parts. It's running wuite good. You have to understand that Chernovtsy is an old Austro-Hungarian city (30km from Ukraine-Romanian border now) with brick (cobblestone) pavements. I didn't see any car there that had shock-absorbers, they get killed in a matter of days on brick (cube) roads...
-
You're just mad because you don't own one.

Definitely not called a Fiesta in Europe. It looks like a Mazda 121 and the more recent Kia Pride (which uses the 121 bodyshell).

The Fiesta and Festiva are two different autos.

That Scion looks like it fell into a wormhole in the 80's and came out present day...smurfy! Yet it's one of the most popular new vehicles...I don't understand people's sense of taste.

Ford Taurus, especially those late 90 models, everything bad about plastic in one car.

And the best selling american car for a very long time..thats what I mean..what the hell is wrong with people..are they blind?

This is ugly and tragic.
Behold the horror of the Lamborghini Diablo Coatl. Apparently, this is a Diablo made by a Mexican company with permission from Lamborghini to be sold in Latin America.

Only people in Latin America would buy that

Consider that in addition to the Taurus's jelly-beanish looks, for a long time it was virtually the same price as the VASTLY superior Crown Victoria. Taurus's with a lot of options actually ran more than base CV's for awhile (remember that a base CV comes with more stuff than is even available for a Taurus, like a V-8). Even now a decent Taurus (SEL or the wagons) isn't signifigantly cheaper than a CV, despite Ford jacking up the CV's price almost solely for the reason of keeping it more expensive than the Taurus.
The equally uninspired Five Hundred...costs MORE than a Crown Vic.
I never understood how they sold the Taurus, except it's more "trendy" to own one than a CV. Never mind that the CV is utterly superior in every possible aspect; apparently people would rather spend their money on an inferior product than be caught in an "old man's car".
Not me. I'll buy what is good. Image isn't something I worry about. My wife is very happy with her Grand Marqis. Well...she wishes it could move like my Buick. Not even the Maurauder can do that though :) Probably why they aren't going to keep making it.

That and the Tempo/Topaz are abominations. I almost listed it but its such a popular model I was afraid of the backlash!

Being an old Mustang kinda guy I've never really like the F-Body cars since around 1970. I know this is not really fair being the limited edition "CONTACH LP500" version of the Camaro/Firebird but this should win the contest handilly...
