Alyn Libman won a $15,000-a-year scholarship to the University of California at Berkeley with a resume that showed more than just Libman's athletic achievement and academic potential.
It also showed years of ridicule, beatings and threats, along with Libman's decision to become a boy in 11th grade.
College applications need to include a SSN and thats it. No sex, no ethnicity, no creed... make it a true equal playing field.
Of course... that probably makes me a homophobe, doesnt it?
Wish they would have been doing this when I went to college, I'd have turned pillow biter in no time.

it's Berkeley...
whatcha expect...
seriously though, you hit the nail on the head. Affirmative action is a waste and only ensures that more dolts go to school to drop out.

The Point Foundation, a non-profit organization awarded the scholarship.
It's not about application information, UC Berkeley, or affirmative action.

Scholarships and the like should be presented to those who work their tulips off and really need it. Anyone who brings up sexuality, sex, race or religion should be shot on sight.

I'm a lesbian, trapped in a man's body. Wonder if that qualifies me for anything?

When you start awarding scholarships, you're free to do it any way you like. Welcome to America. ;)

You should be able to hand out scholarships to whoever you want unless you're a public institution.
When I die, I'm going to have my assets set up as a scholarship fund. The requirements will be:
Female, less than 110 pounds, C cup or better, approved as "hot" by 2/3rds of the board of directors.
