id like to apologize to all for calling you an arse.
my father died day before last and ive been a bit of a wreck.
not an excuse, just a sudden realization and an explaination.
i came on so i could take my mind off it, but found it was the same flame, different day. got annoyed. so i said what was on my mind, just not as diplomatically as i normally would have.
hitech creations. i meant what i said, but meant no personal disrespect to anyone. hard work deserves credit, but the past can only prop us for so long. lets get this game back in order folks.

My family and I send our condolences August. When family members pass on it can be very difficult.

Elfie: I do not disagree at all about accepting an apology.
But reread his current post, He realy isn't apologizing, He is just stating the word, then continuing in the exact same behavior. I.E. it realy isn't an apology at all, hence I will not accept it.
To put it simply, unless you have even an inclining of what goes on to run HTC, what goes into the bussness decisions. What the choices at hand , are to make. You have absolulty no right to critisize the choices we make. Let alone come to my place of busness (the bbs) and state how we are full of it,stating how we don't do our best to make things better, then state how we should be running things, with out even the slightest clue of how we realy do things, or what motivates us, or the resones things change.
That is completly different than discusing a game feature that you can evaluate . Augest is way out of line with his current set of posts, even his current apology he still trying to make his point.
And that Is why I do not except it.

i was apologizing for my method, for any confusion that i may have caused regarding my respect for all people and opinions, i cherish them, encourage them and hope that you have the wherewithal to continue to do the same. in addition, i would like to apoligize for allowing myself to be dragged into a war with the "post vulchers" (TM) ; ) . not that it isnt fun to get all riled up with indignation, but it doesnt help. i should have stuck with my original words and let them be. again, it is NOT about me.
i sorry that selector for feels that i have been hijacking his post. but i do not believe that it is really a highjack when posts are forums of discussion...i just happened to attract the most negative interest. i reacted to his reaction.
my reaction was clouded by emotions regarding my fathers passing.
that said, i can take the critique. i am good at it. artists have to be. we move on, we take it, we toss it away, we get better.
i am critiquing the company's performance based upon expectations that have been set, the amount of cohesion in the arenas, the overall welfare of the community and the lack of response from the powers that be.
i am critiquing value, which declines as these things begin to decay or are left unchecked.
i am critiquing the lack of communication and immersion by hitech creations in the arena and i am critiquing the men and women behind the curtain who are missing out on an excellent opportunity to broaden the range and social climate of a rapidly expanding community. why advertise if you dont want new blood...new opinions.
i am suggesting that we have the right to buy or not buy your product and reminding you that we dont have to, that we wont when it starts to suck eggs. the whining isnt caused by nothing.
it just isnt. its evidenced by all of the happy smiles that come with the crumbs.
i was, and am, standing by my opinion. and, though others may not be rushing to agree with me publicly, i know for a fact that it has been a very common sentiment in the conceptual air of aces high. i have not been alone hitech creations, in fact, if you look at the board over the past few weeks, i think that you will see what i mean.
i am NOT apologizing for my opinion. only for being an arse about it. i was.
i do find it excellent however, that you "hitech sir", (singular) are here, even if angered, listening and offering your opinion and your speculations of the product. you are offering ENY shifts and seemingly making an effort to reconnect to the populous. actual results, which i had suggested...tidbits, yes...keep up the work.
you have a great product to do this with. i wouldnt be here if i didnt think so. right now it has problems. this happens. denying them doesnt help.
i am not concerned with your acceptance of my apology because that is an issue that you have chosen. i have chosen to make it irregardless, in the way that i see fit.
i am not certain what sort of power you surmise comes with owning your company, but i know what has come with my own.
i think i know, through experience, what can sink them faster than a lead boat. been there.
dont care if you dont love me hitech creations.

nor do i care if i am selected to be exterminated by a group of thuggies on augy watch.
it will be an honor to die by thier hand. it will make me better.
i salute them. i honor thier loyalty. i would count myself lucky to have friends like those.
i just dont happen to think that AH2 would get good reviews in its current state, should anyone be writing an article.

i probably shouldnt have mentioned it, but i realized that it was really making me nuts and i felt that i should come clean.

and really, its the most important thing isnt it? more so than a game.

August I really am sorry for your family dude but you've got to knock off these posts... It kinda makes you sound creepy :)
Just chill out, take some time off, go fishing, read a book, sit under a tree, long walk, long drive, whatever you have to do to get your mind off of what happened and off of this BBS for awhile. By the time you start to get your head back together I'll bet the game will have changed much for the better :)
Also it takes a tremendous amount of work to put together a convention... On TOP of the tremendous amount of work it takes to keep a great game like this running... So please, cut them some slack, dude :cool: It's not as though HTC is a huge corporation, thank God! They don't necessarily have the manpower to respond to every single post, many of which are double posts or redundant... Well, unless they were to sacrifice working on making this game even better for the sake of talking about working on making this game even better.
See what I'm trying to say?
So please, don't go off insulting them and saying they aren't working hard enough. I know that may not have been what you intended, but it's certainly the impression I received from your posts.
Not trying to offend you, just trying to bring you back to earth bud... I've been in your shoes and I'd be willing to guess you aren't exactly all there nor will you be for a few weeks-months-years dependent on this and that. So just take care of yourself bud and let HTC take care of us, it'll all work out.
