Watch out Il-2 here comes Aces High. Awesome cockpits. Will the entire plane set be converted to moving / 3d cockpits?

The thing I'd be cautious of is readability.  IL-2:FB's dials are nigh useless and require the digital speed to be shown.  One of the things I always liked about AH is that the gauges are entirely functional.

IL-2:FB has the pilot's position somewhat like the first two screen shots.  I like positioning in the third and fourth cockpit shots as it allows the dials to be easily read.  WTG HTC.  You've added the the detail of IL-2:FB's cockpits without falling in love with the need to show them off and lose the functionality of the cockpit.

Not sure what you mean by skinny, but the screenshots are cropped for size and don't portray your full viewing area.

The first two cockpit shots are with the view panned down into the cockpit.  The last two would be from the normal forward view or close to it.

the canopy metal doesnt seem to start at one side of the screen and go to the other like the current planes, it only seems to go halfway.

Karnak, have you tried turning the instrument lighting on in FB?  I had the same problem seeing them in low light conditions until then also.
