Screenshots look great!
I was just curious as to some proir discussions about having a "reflectivity" layer on the 3-d models. Is that something that is going to be implemented?
Just curious, cause I've seen a few nice looking metal ki-84s that would be fun to skin.
Looking good!
oh yeah - way yo go on single-handedly slowing the Bulliten Board down to a crawl - feel like im on 24k dial up :)

It's not currently there but it is still planned. It won't be an additional layer, at least not for the foreseen future, but rather will allow a skinner to set the specularity of a plane. While this will alleviate the problem of painting a natural finish plane and vice versa, it won't be a cure-all when it comes to partially painted planes, wear patterns, etc.

That's good to know. Glad to hear about the specularity.
That "cure-all" would be fun to mess around with, all though tedious. Aside from stuff like reflective metal wear on painted surfaces, I was wondering how it could affect painted surfaces; like having more reflective areas on the panels, then along rivet lines- less reflective, possibly emulating the "waves" in the metal from rivets, or the dimpling effect that rivets caused on the skin.
Might be something you could just place on the wings, since that would be the only place folks could see it unless offline.
anyway, thanks for the info!
looking forward to seeing the bomber!

Real men want george bush? I will take my wife instead. Is that okay?
Is there a plan to make mixed metal reflectivity? Or is that way out there? I dont know the mechanics but it sounds like a realism issue that would be great to have solved.

That's what he means by partial paint and wear patterns.
