question. is it nessary to have the smoke trails from the tracer rounds? is that how it really is? in real life, i see on some planes there is smoke from the guns, but not as much maybe? would it be to unrealistic to remove the smoke or less'n it? It does mess me up sometimes and blocks out where my rounds are going I see smoke trails and no red glow because of the smoke. any one else have this problem? And when your a bad shot in the first place (like i am) the smoke makes me worse , if thats possible. lmao!!! I always think im firing a rocket. teehee.

Yup, I agree, depending on how it looked IRL. If the smoke was really that bad IRL, I'll have it here too. If not, let's get rid of it. See related thread:

I've seen gun camera footage of tracers with hardly a trace of smoke and some have heavy smoke. I wonder if it has anything to do with the type of gun being fired say cannon vs machine guns?

Differs by type, altitude, and weather conditions. However all tracers leave a smoke pattern, thin or thick.

I like the smoke tracers they really look cool.
