And if they run out of bread they can always eat cake.

"Water is necessary, and then generators, and then food, and then clothes."
The beeyatch!
-
Better naked than dead no ?
-
I am not sure if i put power before food my self, but i know i would put clothes after food and water
-
I know some toddlers who would rather be naked than go without their cold milk and freezer pops.
-
Rich People are smarter than you and I......
-
Well we've heard from the feisty Ms Heinz. What has George told Laura to say about all this?
-
Good thing she can speak 5 languages. :aok
Right MT.
Clam to fame.......
Marry rich Republican; he dies in plane crash inherit money. And her O-pinion is supposed to matter to me. STFU and go away.
As you can see from my location indicator, I leave in Boston; I have been to their house in Beacon Hill, and every Halloween they are out side giving out candy. I talked to John Kerry and Therese. My 3-year old sat on her lap while she gooed over him, (his so cute, what a nice boy et cetera.) They seem nice in person, don't want them to run the country thow.

Was he dressed up as Lurch?

Comment withdrawn, her campaign is apparently donating food, blankets, etc. Now, if she just stays away from rubbing alcohol (Like Kitty Dukais couldn't) she might do alright!

Hmm, he looks more like a cross between Jay Leno and Frankenstein's Monster to me...and that without him dressing up for Halloween.

I, nor the Bush family is down there attracting press attention for the benefit of the election. She is. So, that, my friend, is a mute point.

As much as I dislike her and Her husband....I'm sure her intentions were right...but she need to take a public speaking course..misinterpretations can start wars. anjd lose elections..If I were Kerry I'd hide her away and keep a muzzle on her

During an election year... damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Show up and offer assistance and you're grandstanding for an election. Stay away and you don't care about the struggles of the "little people".

True enough.
Sandy,What are your opinions of Teresa thus far? Think she helps or hinders Kerrys campaign? (I'm thinking Swing voters here...)

I don't have one. She's not relevant IMHO. I don't really care who the first lady is. I have the same regard for Laura.

Kerry's problem is that you are the exception...most people link the first lady directly with the President as if she has alot of influence over his policies...Dems can blame Hillary for that since Slick Willie was her puppet
:D

Hard hitting c-n-p there Rip, she sure is a horrible person. How dare she show up there during an election.

So, it would be ok for her to be down there attracting press attention, if she paid for it with donations? That would just get her called an oppurtunistic in a crisis situation......
Unfortunately, Kerry doesn't have access to an Aircraft Carrier.....

Theresa is nothing more than a pampered snot that could give a rats butt about the rest of the US. She is more concerned with increasing her power, her causes and her wallet. When the rest of the US realises it, then we will be better off. Hopefully they realise before Nov 2nd.

look who's talking...your president (hahaha) can barely get through a week without appearing as a total goof with the way he speaks (or mis-speaks) LOL
..."misinterpretatons start wars"... unlike your current excuse for a leader who chose to start an ILLEGAL war in iraq, like some redneck low-intellect vigilante, and had almost everything go wrong for him in this effort...you should all be very very proud ! (while the rest of us laugh our butts off) Iraq war assessment (http://www.usatoday.com/_common/_scripts/_tacoda/amDataAgent.htm?pid=usat) And bush is the best you can come up with? HAHAHAHAHA :rofl
You have made the rest of the world feel extrememly happy about being anything other than an american..for that I deeply thank you

It's one thing to mispronounce words..it's another to say assinine things....
ILLEGAL war? in who's opinion? Is the UN sanctioning us for doing it...lets see..umm.no..so I guess it's not illegal after all is it?

I see this is going to be a recurring theme, The Kerrys' are Bush's best ally for re-election.

strictly speaking shes right. safe drinking water is number one priority. maybe she doesnt understand that clothes are much lighter and easier to pack as cargo than water so youre not really giving up that much water for a bunch of clothes but her reasoning is sound.

Ah, ok. So lets keep going with that.
"Strictly speaking" lets just assume that Laura Bush said the same thing.
"Hello, Im Dan Rather and this is CBS News. Shocking new developments today. In addition to the hurricane ravaging the Gulf Coast and the hurricane ravaging Bush's totally unacceptable Guard service, First Lady Laura Bush stuns residents of Mobile, Alabama by demanding that their children parade around naked."
For THK, though, it makes sense. You GO GIRL!
Ist juzt ridicklousnesses.

Yeah, but I remember a few weeks ago when Kerry had a good solid lead. I don't think it was a coincidence but Mrs. Heinz finally started to speak out. Everything was downhill for kerry since then. I believe Theresa will "Dissappear" for 2 months...

I thought Bush himself visited the hurricane areas a week or two ago.......

Laura Bush hates the spotlight...her only real opinion is on education..go figure ..she was a teacher
-
Laura Bush is seen in the spotlight when George permits it and what she says is what he's told her she can.
Isn't that what man respecting, God fear'n, rightwinger Stepford wifes should do?
-
Laura is a robot.
But that aint a dig. Au contraire. Holy, did Geedub ever luck out.
-
I don't see the issue. so she made a (accurate) comment on the priority of relief needed. I'd much rather help naked people survive than go down there and dress the dead bodies.
that said I really don't see anything wrong with either wife.
Mrs Kerry is an outspoken woman from the NE part of the country. it's just who she is, I haven't heard her say anything particularly stupid or embarrassing (at least nothing anyone who supports Bush should be pointing fingers at).
Mrs Bush, is a fine example of a typical southern lady. soft spoken and polite, but don't fool yourself, just because she is quite and polite in public doesn't mean she's weak or soft of mind.
I've seen nothing credible that would make me think bad of either woman (though I do think Bush was very fortunate to get the wife he did).
OK now that we got the irrelevant wife discussion out of the way, lets get back to the real issue.
Bush is a liar and a fat-mouth.

She is from Mozambique. What footage do you watch? She's the Dubyas best ally right now.
When you wake up from your dream and realize ALL POLITICIANS are liars, your life will become easier.
Oh, and Kerry was smoking Bush in the polls a couple of months ago, and now according to Sandman's post, they are "deadlocked".

God D right, she is not an elected official and shouldn't act like one.
STFU and go do charity work.
I said before, I don't like these defacto presidents spouses. We saw it with Hillarycare, and how we get "two for the price of One" The price we paid for one was bad enough.
IF a women wants to acted like a president the Run for the post.

According to the polls Bush is spanking kerry...
-
Uh, she is right you know.
Those who were affected need water first and foremost. It is a perishable item that is of very high demand.
Food (canned, dry packaged) is avaliable in the affected areas believe it or not, the markets in the area have stockpiles of those all year round.
Power generators (power in general) is vital to bring normality as quickly as possible.
Clothes... again, avaliable by the hoards in the city itself, not to mention that people CAN wear the same clothes for MONTHS without being a big deal (washing it of course). Hell i have jeans and shoes that are 6 years old and I still use them.
So yes, even though I really dont like Kerry at all, the lady is correct. Water power and food go before clothes... in that order.

What's funny is, everybody wants to donate their old clothes "for the hurricane relief, dear" because they were planning on cleaning out their closets anyway.
Very few people want to donate crates of Dasani or Zephyrhills.
I'd rather wear the same clothes for a week than go thirsty.

Wow, beer didn't make the top four in here? Ya'll go on the wagon?
