if i could turn off ground objects and ack traces, it would help my slow machine a lot in frame rate  when i am in combat. is it possible?

Go to the setup button, then under flight you'll find a button to turn off tracers.  You can turn off ground clutter by hitting ctrl+C

Turn off tracers only turns off YOUR tracers, not everyone elses.
