"Glad it worked for you all
I am running 32-bit color on Desktop.
After a little 'process of elimination', I found out that the only 2 files the settings folder HAD to have in it were video8.cfg and freq.cfg.
As long as I put the freq.cfg file in there, it launched with no problems. I un-installed\re-installed 4 times so far, and just that one little file makes it all work.
Here is what is in that file:
1999034619

Hope that helps some."

Rosco,
I have run 4.7 , 4.8 and now Omega 4.8 with XP SP2 and DX 9c. No problems with any of them. I have also been lucky nuff to never have a virus problem, yet, either.
