Way to go CRS for creating a ****ty flight sim in easy mode then having retarded pilots that when outnumbered 5:1 (5 friendlies on their side) must run to the super elite accurate ai aaa and circle endlessly firing the entire time hoping that 1 of the 5 or the super accurate ai aaa hits the big bad enemy plane that tried to give you a fun fight!

I think I'm confused.. are you griping about WWIIonline? These are the aces high bulletin boards, the WWIIonline ones are over there -------------------------------------------------->
:aok
-
you're in manx's squad right?
-
Thanks for the update. I always wonder what that ww2ol is like.
I remember when the first whispers of ww2ol were heard. Many thought ww2ol was going to be the end of all other WWII sims. lol. Yea, right. :o
-
WWIIOL overall is a better WWII sim if your a tanker or ground pounder. The Air play in it is ok but nothing compared to AH.
This is why I returned to Aces High to get some flying time. Heck I remember Aces High when it was free :)
Glad to be back :D

Yeah, you want to start a ground war debate?
I play in both. Apples and Oranges. Neither are perfect.

That pretty much sums it up. If you are used to air fighting in AH you probably won't really like it there. Although WWIIOL has the added advantage of going and being a trooper, tanker, AA gunner or go sailing in a Destroyer etc. so theres much more variation.
As for the difference between the 2, AH and WWIIOL. Aces High is by far the more fun, WWIIOL is more of a war simulation than AH.
AH seems to be a great combination between realism and gamey, which makes it fun, whereas wwiiol can be frustrating as hell, planes can get downed by miracle shot's from rifle fire, i had a streak of about 20 kills in a Spit V that i kept reupping, hammered a stuka then pilot was critically wounded from 1 hit from single stuka tailgun. When you die, 95% of the time you will be thinking "WTF killed me?!?!"
oh yeah, and the community is much better here.

Deej111 is deej that used to play AH.

the Air Game ain't so damn bad, I bet its him who sucks.
its just much diff. then AH.
and Furby sorry for not answerin ya Friday, was flyin and needed only 1 Golly-geen kill to get to CPL. Lets say I was very concentrated in my puny Hurri so I could shoot down that dumb 109.
Slowly starting to miss my AH flyin:p

ya i tried out wwiiol, and i had a blast, it seams like a great game once you get into it, i just dont have time to play someting like that. being a ww2 sim it simulates everything, including the boardom of waiting around in your plane for something to shoot. Which dont get me wrong isnt a bad thing, it just doesnt give you that instant action that ah does. If i ever get the time ill spend some of it there. the fact that it doesnt have a native vox kinda stints things. its comunity seems pretty good, when i was playing for the first time there were plenty of helpfull people that were glad to c a new player. The game isnt designed for social interaction so much tho.
some games are just too imersive, and in the end we only have 24 hours in a day, maybe 2 of which i get to play games. the thrill of the dogfight is like no other in ah.

There has been a lot of us in the 81st over trying out WW2OL as allies, maybe 20?. Most find it better then AH.

WWII Online is a sim, very emersive any many rolls for one to play.
"As for the difference between the 2, AH and WWIIOL. Aces High is by far the more fun, WWIIOL is more of a war simulation than AH"
In YOUR opinion it's more fun, different strokes.......
"AH seems to be a great combination between realism and gamey, which makes it fun, whereas wwiiol can be frustrating as hell, planes can get downed by miracle shot's from rifle fire, i had a streak of about 20 kills in a Spit V that i kept reupping, hammered a stuka then pilot was critically wounded from 1 hit from single stuka tailgun. And AH isn't at times frustrating as hell? And AH tanks can be disabled or tracked by the miracle stray .303 round. Yes a single round from a tailgun would more than likely critically wound or kill a pilot IRL in ww2. In real war I'd bet 95% of the guys killed didn't know where it came from, your just dead
Both games have their pro's & con's, bugs & quirks niether is anywhere near perfect. If you prefer more "realistic" flying AH is the way to go. If you enjoy tanks, AA guns, infantry, ships, command roles or strategic planning WWII Online is the way to go.
