Title: Voting booths closed as of 5pm PST Sept 17
Post by: Mister Fork on September 18, 2004, 12:52:44 PM
Voting is over - what happens now?
* Votes will be verified and counted for every candidate.  We will tally all the votes for every candidate and verify the voters that:

a) they subscribed to HTC
b) they have flown in the CT
(see rules posting on first day of voting)

* The list is then given to HTC for verification.  Just because a candidate may have won an election, it is not a guarentee that they will get the seat.  HTC has final say on ALL positions, period.

* Successful candidates will be contacted via email and asked if they wish to accept the position. If they pass over, the runner up will be asked.

* Once all positions have been confirmed, the CT Staff will announce the results.

I have already spotted a dozen or so voters that I can't identify who they are because their forum ID doesn't match their player ID, or they have never stepped foot inside the CT.  Unfortunately, those votes will be disqualified.
Title: Dilemma ???

Fork,

We have two delegates that by what I see and read, have effectively withdrawn from the election process. Personally I thought all that had been nominated/accepted/and finally listed were eligeble and interested in obtaining a position. Obviously I wasted at least 2 votes as did many others.

My question as to protocol is: Are these votes considered "non-transferrable"? In other words is the staff or electoral board going to allow something like-I xxxxx do not wish to serve in the capacity elected. Thank you for your votes and support but I wish to give my support and votes to-xxxxx

I am not trying to gather up support for this-just expressing an opinion that if this is bouncing around on the "what do we do now, idea table" That I think that would be a mistake and that all votes cast whether wasted or not should stand as they are and are NOT transferrable.

Just my opinion :D

Man, that's about a fourth!
No problem with bumping them out, that's just a lot.

The CT gets about 600 AHers to visit per tour.  We probably have 100 to 200 regulars, and only about 30 or so voted.
