Why is it that the "Wanna get away?" person is always black?
-
why exactly would you care?

If you don't care then don't post in the thread. Go do your homework or something.

Whoa...whites didn't "invent" it. We just were the strongest prolifilators of it.

You should have taken some marketing courses, Funked, along with the hard stuff.

It's no different the Greyhound commercials.
I allways hear "soul music" playing and it usually features a black person enjoying their trip.
My experiences with greyhound are far from fond ones but most of the areas I was at I did see quite a few more blacks than whites boarding the buses.
I'd chalk it up to targeting/associating w/ a specific demographic.
racist yes....bad type of racism...no

I'm not saying it's racist I'm just wondering why they made that choice. I have seen about 10 of these ads and the victim is always a brother or a sister.

Hey Funky, just noticed the Monopolowa link. :aok

Just saw a SW commercial, the "Ding" one. There were 3 blacks, 2 hispanics, 2 asians and 5-6 whites shown. Looks like a racially balanced cast.
The next commecial was a Dodge Magnum spot. When was the last time you saw a Dodge spot that didn't feature a Yuppie or a Redneck? I can't think of one.
