Title: Ryder Cup,
Post by: wipass on September 20, 2004, 03:46:15 AM
Congratulations to Europe on another fine win.

The gloss was taken off the event again this year when the Europeans walked away with the first two days honours and it was just a matter of time until they reached 14.5 points on the Sunday.

Do you now think it's time to turn the Ryder Cup in to a Europe versus the rest of the World event ?  In order to inject some meaningful competition back in to the event.

Nilsen,

I always thought it was a game for older people too.

That is until I was 28 and invited to play for the first time. Within 20 minutes I was hooked, the game is so addictive .....

I can't think of another game that is so difficult to master (it's impossible) yet so rewarding. With the handicap system the rabbits can run with the hounds and compete on level terms.

It took me 2 years to break 100 shots for 18 holes, 6 years to get to a 13 handicap and nearly 8 years to shoot a score in the 70's.

17 years on and I still get the same feeling when I start a round, Could this be the one ? the perfect round ?

Try it,

Those golf cars looks like fun. Id like to see West Coast Customs pimp one up! I could use one of those as transport down to the pier so i would not have to carry the waterskiis and all the other junk i take with me :)

Congrats to the Euro's on thier fine thrashing of the U.S. in the Ryder Cup. :aok

Once again the Euro's showed up as a TEAM while the Americans showed up as 12 small corperations.

The Euro's will more than likely IMNO dominate the Ryder cup for a few more times. They have more depth than they have ever had and they play as a team better than the Americans do. It's sad really that ego's mean so much in a TEAM event. :(

Whilst it was pleasing to win, just as pleasing was the behaviour of the spectators and the sporting manner in which the game was played.

To see Darren Clarke and Davis Love congratulating each other after their epic encounter was most welcome. After the animosty of previous encounters this was most refreshing.

You may have lost the match USA, but you made many friends.
