This is something that should be bookmarked and viewed frequently to remind us what we are fighting againt.
Still makes me angry and sad.
The television stations should sign off with this everynight like they used to do with the national anthem.
-
Posting something other than agreeing with the post in regards to this seems to be a big no-no. So I'll just hint that I disagree with the constant posting of these types of posts about that day because forgetting is impossible, and for a "reminder" its close to brain washing with rage.

I don't know what's worse... posts like this being viewed as trolls or posts like this being intended as trolls.
-
Personally, I think it's natural to get angry at these images. I also think it's healthy.
But more importantly, if we just go back to our normal lives and never reflect, and never remind ourselves of the evil that exists, and of what our enemies are capable of, it will happen again.
No one forces you to watch these things.
And the networks have gone out of their way to avoid showing the images.
Don't click the link, that's all.
-
No troll intended
And I agree......people wont forget what happened but the levity of the situation and the impact it had when it happened can wear off for some. I posted this with the intention that some may wish to bookmark it as I have, nothing more, nothing less.
If it's been posted before, I missed it. Sorry if my posting this has inconvenienced anyone.

This debate has been "raging" since the 9/11 "who is the most patriotic" runoff of 2004.
Personally, I don't need a cheesy flash presentation to remind me of 9/11. Those that do, definately won't apreciate it. So the point get's kinda lost.

I would, but everytime I view it, I ask myself questions like... "Where's Osama?" and "How many Iraqis were involved with 911?"

The post is resurrected every year right around September 10 or so. It's in there.

so your saying next time I post something I should just search the BBS on it just so I don't get jumped? gimme a break, like clicking on this post really took up that much of your precious time that you will never get back....isn't that right.
I did nothing wrong.

I appreciate your post, Acid.
Don't let the tree-huggers get to you.
-
Sorry acid... but a flash presentation doesn't do anything for levity. It's cheesy.... well... sappy at best. That is not how I choose t remember the event.
-
BTW... muckmaw's reply pretty much sums it up better than any other you'll see: "Don't let the tree-huggers get to you."

This hasn't been a "jumping". You said you missed the post. I said it was there. No need for further victimization.

I'll comment on it Wulfe. It was uncalled for. No need for it. It served no purpose, except to further antagonize people. What was the point?
If you do not like the topic, then just leave it. Simple, and that goes for anyone actually.

Reminding based on emotion also leads to blind decisions. You want to take that risk? Germany learned that mistake very well.

The only person who brought up SH or Iraq was you and Sandman
Because I said this reminds me of what we are fighting for?
Who said anything about Iraq? I was actually referring to all our soldiers, police and emergency responders. I was talking about the people who work every day to keep us safe. I was referring to the guys still duking it out in Afghanistan.
Maybe you need to go back and re-read the thread.
Any chance you had an unfortunate encounter with said screw-driver?

Both of you stop. Check the title, and who started it. You are both being disrespectful.
If you really want to talk about it, start a thread.

We're done Skuzzy, don't worry.
Sure ASTAC, but since it was only a minor scratch - you just need to write yourself up for one.
