Welcome to Rangoon '42

Well a couple months ago if someone told me I'd be doing this I'd have asked what they were smoking and can I have some. But here we are, about to embark on another gut-wrenching scenario experience.

http://www.gonzoville.com/scenarios/ ... the event description and some of the forum posts there which expand on it. There are a lot of very critical rules about attrition and replacement aircraft. You will also be flying planes which rarely if ever get used in the MA, and in situations which aren't frequently faced.

The map should be close to ready and I believe the sign-up form should be getting put together as well. We'll start looking for commanders hopefully in the next week.

This whole event was fast-tracked, so the CM and map-building team has really been cranking. Citabria also did an awesome AVG P-40E skin for the event.

For scheduling reasons this event is only 6 missions long - which is still "long" compared to BoB, but short compared to what I had planned.

Couldn't be helped.

Duh ... I just emailed you the fixed banner.

If the Betty is the "new bomber" we will definately use it. That would be an awesome coincidence ... seriously, I am as much in the dark on this matter as you all.

Oscar woulda been nice to have, I admit. As would a real Buffalo.

If it is the Betty, I'll have to see just how fragile it is. May require reducing the P40's all back to the B model.

Nuttz contacted me last night and offered to donate 2 satin jackets custom embroidered to the 2 CO's, and also 2 staff shirts embroidered left chest to 2 MVP's (1 from each side).

Jackets will be embroidered with Left chest Rangoon logo; right chest "handle or name"; Full back p-40 plane. Staff shirts will have the ragoon logo embroidered left chest (same as jacket); Right chest name or handle.

I should have sample pics to post in the next few days.
