I don't what to tell don't bring B-24 but...........
There so many bombers requred before B-24.......
Pe-2, Tu-4, Do-17, He-111, Blenheim... even B-29 would be better.
We allmost do not have good early war bombers....... and we have similar B-17.....
I don't know what is the reason........ I just can't understand this.

Just a guess but I'm thinkin' what you define as a "requirement" varies from the definition they're using at HTC.

Anyway, the reason for the B-24 is ToD. ToD will be starting off primarily with a lot of 8th AF vs Luftwaffe action and therefore the heavy bomber will be central to that. The B-17 is very graphically dated since it was one of the first planes made and it had to be made under very restrictive condititions due to the system specs at the time. So we wanted something better to launch ToD. Our choice would be a B-24 or to redo the 17. The 17 is a plane that we are better off redoing from scratch rather than giving it an overhaul. Because we haven't had any new planes in quite awhile, we opted for the new plane. .... Pyro

All I can say is they better NEVER EVER put the B-29 in this game. EVER. You all know the second they do this game is dead. It would be a death knell, basically.

It could always be a perk bomber. You know, give the Arado some company?

man they finished the ext model and i think they should put it on hold and complete the Pe-2 xterior model first then continue the tjhe '24, thjen finish the pe-2.

Well along with its TOD stature, it was the most used US bomber of the war (I am pretty sure about that), it is faster than the 17 and carries more bombload. However, it is ugly and notoriously terrible on takeoffs and landings, if I remember right. Historically though I believe it has a huge place in AH. I do think we need a russian bomber, a heavy german bomber, and at least one perk bomber that is worth a warm bucket of spit. :D

The B-17 actually dropped more tons of bombs than the B-24.

You are looking from point of view of MA player.
For MA you need Spit, Pony, B-17, N1K and La7 only ;) kidding....
But seriously B-24 and B-17 are bombers of same class, same period etc.... and we have huge holes in other periods early war, easter front etc.... B-24 will not add much to ToD as it can add Do-17 that will allow setup correct BoB or Pe-2 that will give use oportunity to make Easter front setups....... Furthemore there is no possibility now to make non-historical - subsituation skins as it allways done for scenarios in case of lack of certain plane types.....
